Now That You Can Walk the Walk, It's Time to Talk the Talk:
Here's a quick course in the language of craps. It will help if you're at least conversational. Don't worry, in time, you'll be fluent.
Seven Out: The rolling of a 7 after the point has been established
Hardway Bet:
A wager that the 4, 6, 8, or 10 will be rolled as a pair before being rolled easy or a 7 is thrown
Yo: The number 11 as called by the stickman and players to differentiate from the number 7
Off: Request made by a player to inform the dealer his bet will not be in action on the next roll of the dice
Natural: Rolling a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll
Don't Pass Line Bets: On Don't Pass Line bets, if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3, it is a Don't Pass Line winner. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, it is a Don't Pass Line loser. If the shooter rolls a 12, it is a "push" or tie. Any other number rolled (4,5,6,8,9,10) becomes the shooter's point and you win when the shooter rolls a 7 before the point is repeated.
Come and Don't Come Bets: The same as Pass and Don't Pass Line bets, but they may only be made by the dealer after the shooter has established the point.
Place Bets: A bet placed by the dealer any time after the point is established on numbers 4,5,6,8,9, or 10, which must be repeated before a 7 is rolled.
Field Bet: A one-roll bet placed by the player that may be made on any roll. If 3,4,9,10, or 11 rolls, player wins even money. If 2 or 12 rolls, player wins double.
The Odds: After the point has been established, you may take or lay odds in addition to your original wager.
