Face it. When you have a good time, you want to do it again. Around 10 years ago, my college buddies decided to hold a reunion. However, Don and Jeff lived in Chicago, Stewart was on the West Coast and I was in New York, so we needed a place that was easy to get to. And a place we could go crazy and reminisce about our wild school days. Needless to say, we picked Vegas. Don suggested TI, which had just recently opened and was the buzz of the town.

Now, it’s our seventh reunion and TI has remained our top choice – mainly because, over the years, TI has treated us well. And when we inquired about reservations and learned about some of the recent improvements, it helped to make our decision to return even easier. For instance, the updated rooms were incredible; the spa, totally revamped; and Social House – already being touted as the hottest new restaurant on The Strip – recently opened with a huge bang. We were also glad to hear classic favorites like Kahunaville and Tangerine were still booming.

Don and I arrived at McCarran Airport around the same time, so we hopped into a cab and headed for TI. We learned that Stewart and Jeff had arrived earlier, which led me to believe they were already treasure hunting poolside. Upon arrival at our room, we found the new digs to be quite stylish. I threw my bag down, plopped on the bed and soon realized...whoa! The new beds were awesome. I asked Don why hotel beds always felt better than the ones at home. Though he had no answer, we later found out the mattresses were totally custom and that if we wanted to purchase one, we could.

After freshening up, we met Stewart and Jeff and headed down to happy hour at Kahunaville, known for not only its great food, but also the talent behind the bar. The bartenders at Kahunaville come from all over the world. In fact, many compete globally and have gained international recognition. It’s amazing to watch them juggle multiple bottles of booze and pour killer concoctions that totally kick your butt; we also ordered some juicy appetizers. After a few drinks from those monster margarita glasses, we knew it was time to cut out before we got too loaded and missed our dinner reservation.
