Thirsty patrons can choose from six different styles of Monte Carlo-labeled beer. |
The Beers of Monte Carlo
Story by Scott Gummer
But today, modern science and contemporary art converge at a distinct microbrewery: the Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery in Las Vegas.
The Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery is one of the largest brewpubs in America and the very first to be located in a mega-resort on the Las Vegas Strip. It boasts a fun, electric atmosphere, dozens of TVs tuned in to the day’s sporting events and hard-to-choose-from menus chock full of comfort food and traditional pub favorites. Airy yet cozy, the on-site brewery churns out 93,000 gallons of beer per year.
I prefer my beer by the pint. But the brewpub offers as many unique receptacles – like the 167-ounce tube with a spigot at the base called the Giraffe – as they do beers, including the limited-release Lederhosen Lager, a malty, amber lager created to celebrate Oktoberfest.
So, if you’re looking for an opportunity to partake in art-of-the-brew appreciation, if you want to educate your palate as to the subtlety of flavors, or if you just want to watch the game with an ice-cold beer, the Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery promises something for everyone.
