Taking It Off In Vegas Story By Eirik Knutzen
Nobody has more fun in Sin City than
celebrity wild child Carmen Electra. With her
every move reported in tabloid gossip columns
throughout the universe, she can’t leave her dirty little
secrets behind—such as when she married “The Worm”
(aka distinctively weird former pro-basketballer
Dennis Rodman) for all of nine days. After years
of on-again-off-again relationships with a string of
musicians ranging from Fred Durst, Tommy Lee and
Prince, she eventually wound up in the arms of the
love of her life and “best friend,” ex-“Red Hot Chili
Peppers” guitarist Dave Navarro. One week before
her marriage to Navarro, the compact (5-foot-4; 32-
years-old and 36C-23-35) dancer-singer-model-actress
arranged their joint bachelor/bachelorette party in the
new penthouse suite at a small casino just off Vegas’
racy, twitchy Strip. Invitations featured Carmen and
Navarro in the nude and strippers served as the
evenings entertainment.
The dark, exotic Electra—the perfectly bronzed
concoction of German, Irish and Cherokee—also
has discovered a brilliant way to mix pleasure with
business in Sin City. Working solo (although backed
by two equally outrageous dancing beauties) with a
mixture of feline sensuality and sexuality, she was
the premiere bar-room burlesque act at the July
Fourth grand opening of TI’s Tangerine Lounge
& Nightclub. Getting down to her scant, glittering
designer bra and panties while working up close
and personal on the Tangerine’s enormous
indoor/outdoor bar top, Electra’s risque finale was
greeted with a standing ovation from a roaring
crowd seemingly composed equally of men and
women. The fun show, choreographed to be
very sexy without crossing the line, leaves no
one intimidated in the audience, though all are
panting for more.
