Strange and magical things are happening at Luxor. In addition to the changes and
improvements taking place all over the property, the lines between reality and
illusion have been blurred: guests have witnessed an elephant appear out of thin
air, a motorcycle turn into three beautiful women and a man float from the top floor
to the Luxor lobby, among other things.
Skeptics will tell you that there is always a rational explanation for such phenomena…
and there is: Luxor Resort and Casino is the new home for the third season of A&E
Network’s “Criss Angel MINDFREAK.”
Dubbed “the new Houdini,” Criss
Angel captivates audiences with
his visionary approach to the art
of magic, performing demonstrations of
mentalism, hypnosis, illusion, and escape.
The critically acclaimed show will air on
A&E Network beginning in the Spring
of 2007.
In its first two seasons, the show delivered
the biggest ratings numbers in A&E
Network’s history. The third season of the
show features Criss’ new breed of modern
mysticism as he performs illusions in
and around the numerous attractions and
features of Luxor as well as various locations
at other MGM MIRAGE properties.
“I am so happy to call Luxor home for
my third season,” says Angel. “This is an
amazing place with infinite possibilities.
Everyone here has been so approachable
and made us feel right at home. We have
really made an effort to take full advantage
of all of the things that this property has
to offer.”
Criss made his mark on the world of illusion
through his unique approach to the art,
garnering him numerous awards: He was
the recipient of the 22nd Louie Award
for outstanding achievement in the art of
magic. He was named both 2001 and 2004
Magician of the Year, making him the first
two-time recipient ever of this coveted
award. He is also the only magician to
appear on both the covers of the popular
and respected magic magazines Magic and Genii Magazine.
