Story by Ava Bellows
Known for its love of exotic locales
and ability to recreate such
landscapes, Las Vegas offers a trip
around the world with just a walk down
The Strip. While this architectural vision
is extraordinary, it has obscured the native
landscape beneath the fantasies of builders.
But Mountain's Edge, a community being
planned by Focus Property Group, has
set itself apart in the booming real estate
market by embracing the natural lay of the
land. It also holds the honor of being the
fastest selling community in Las Vegas.
By building on the ideals of preservation
and appreciation of local history and
with aspirations beyond the bottom line,
Mountain's Edge reflects a commitment to
conservation and respect for the land while
providing the amenities of a finely crafted,
master planned community.
"We have to recognize we're developing
in a desert, not in a place with a lot of
rainfall," said John Ritter, Chairman and
CEO of Focus Property Group. "We just
try to be as environmentally sensitive as
we can and still be builders."
The 3,500-acre community will
eventually have 12,500 homes offered by
over 20 premier builders with impeccable
records for design and quality. Residences
ranging from 1,000 - 4,641 square
feet and priced from mid-$200,000 to
over $700,000 will be available. Upon
completion, Mountain's Edge will offer
four elementary schools, two middle
schools, one high school as well as a fire
station, stores, shops, restaurants, and
professional services. |
