Story by Jacqueline Y. Metcalfe
As a “Spa” writer, I love spas and all things spa-related. I’m a spa junkie. I visit
spas as often as possible, write about the newest spas and most interesting spa
activities when I get the opportunity, and extol the many benefits of spa going to
friends, family, and colleagues more than I’m sure they’d prefer. I’ve done more
homework (both practical and academic) on the subject of spas than most people
would ever need or want to do.
The very real value of spa treatments
has become a widely held concept.
Those in the business consider their
objective to be total body wellness –
not just relaxation and beautification.
A decade or so ago, the focus was on
image, but people are more in tune with
how they feel now and how they take care
of themselves–and spas have risen to meet
that challenge.
So, it is with much excitement and
anticipation that I prepare to experience
all that the newly renovated spa at Bellagio
has to offer. I’m familiar with Bellagio
and its famous five-diamond luxury and
service, so I’m anxious to see what they
could do to make an already award-winning
spa even greater.
