2002
Employees of the Year
MGM MIRAGE spares nothing when it comes to honoring our employees.
Our Employee of the Year Galas have become a time-honored tradition—recognizing
and rewarding outstanding members of our family, the heroes among
us. This past year, our six Las Vegas-based properties nominated
12 of their best of the best employees. On February 12, 72 employees
were brought into the spotlight at our gala and treated like royalty
with a superb dinner and entertainment. At the evening’s
end, six were awarded Employee of the Year by his or her property
president.
2002’s Employee of the Year Gala was a vibrant display
of our passion to celebrate those who foster excellence, hard
work, commitment, and dedication. Carrot Top entertained with
his hilarious comedy and together with MGM MIRAGE donated $30,000
to the Las Vegas Ronald McDonald House in lieu of payment for
his performance. Although only one employee from each property
could be chosen as the Employee of the Year, MGM MIRAGE congratulates
all 72 nominees and their 43,000 colleagues who make your stay
with us magical and memorable.
