The Esquire House game room, designed by Adam Tihany, inspired the celebrity poker party.

“Esquire magazine invited Bobby and I to design the poker room with Adam Tihany,” Donna says, “as well as to hold our charity event there on opening night. Poker is so big right now, I thought rather than just have a party, what if I could get the top poker players to participate in a tournament.” She asked her husband to help arrange a meeting.

“Bobby got me together with Chip Reese and all the other players and I said, ‘Look, this is what I need to do. Are you in?’”

Not only were they all in, each player ponied up the $2,500 buy-in rather than simply attend as the Baldwins’ invited guests.

“They were a huge draw; after all, these are the top players in the world. Who wouldn’t want to play with them?”
